Using Alpha PSP to Reduce the Risk of Coronary Heart Disease and Strokes

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 17 million people die each year as a result of cardiovascular diseases. Included in these statistics are strokes and coronary heart disease related mortalities, both of which are rapidly rising worldwide. In 2001, a study conducted at Cho Ray hospital focused on the efficacy of Alpha PSP in increasing the presence of High Density Lipoproteins and reducing Low Density Lipoproteins in the circulatory systems of participating subjects. While LDLs can increase the incidence of coronary heart disease and strokes by introducing fatty deposits to the arteries, HDLs can minimize such effects.

The participants chosen for the studies were aged between 18-65, and were male and female. This allowed for a broad demographic to be covered. The researchers excluded confounding factors, such as existing conditions and diabetes. By doing this, they were able to assure clarity over the results. The primary aim of the study was to ascertain how useful Alpha PSP is at increasing HDLs in obese patients, while the secondary aims focused on reducing LDLs.

The study’s researchers examined the HDL and LDL levels of participants. Participants then took Alpha PSP on a regular basis, before returning to have their results measured. Across both male and female participants, there was a significant increase in the HDLs present. In addition to this, there was a reduction in LDLs. This led the researchers to believe that regularly taking HDLs and LDLs meant that patients with obesity as a coronary heart disease risk factor could take Alpha PSP and reduce those risk factors.

Reducing the presence of LDLs in the circulatory system can lead to a reduction in atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a condition that occurs when high volumes of glucose and fats damage the artery walls, causing plaques to build there. As this process continues, the arteries narrow, causing hypertension. If clots become particularly large and break off, they can lead to a heart attack, stroke, or pulmonary embolis. In contrast with LDLs, HDLs exist to scavenge for excess cholesterol, which in turn can reduce your risk of developing atherosclerosis. In short, the combination produced by Alpha PSP means those with a risk of developing coronary heart disease or a stroke can incorporate it into their lifestyles to enhance their health.
